April 10, 2013 - Very viscous, dense and dark. Served chilled and it was delightful. The initial impression is not great. Heat from the alcohol and nothing particularly unique. The mid palate and finish though are wonderful. The heat from the alcohol disappears, leaving incredible smoothness and flavours of rich plums, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Won't buy again at £26, but very interesting one off treat.

6/27/15, 4:00 AM - I've gotta say I preferred the Oloroso for sure. PX just isn't quite my thing. But it's been a while since I've had one and daaaaaamn it was so bloody viscous. Thing is, the acidity wasn't quite there to make it really good. I've had wines almost this sugary and viscous like the Campbell's Merchant Prince Muscat and a particular icewine from Vermont, which had so much acid that they could turn a sweet syrup into a stunningly vibrant delight, but this wasn't quite there. Tasty though.
