April 16, 2013 - Brownish hue, heat, and funk. Drank a half glass and then vacuum sealed. Next day it had fully turned. This was my first Nicora...I guess bad luck getting a corked bottle right out of the gates.

4/17/13, 6:09 AM - Curious if you meant "cooked" instead of corked. The things you described (brownish color, extreme alcohol, etc.) are more indicative of a wine that was heat damaged vs. a corked wine (which would smell like wet newspaper). Just curious.

4/17/13, 6:15 AM - Not sure just know the result. The funk (wet newspaper) is where I came up with the corked thought. I wouldn't think heat damage because the weather was cool when the wine was shipped and it has been in my cellar for the last few weeks. Either way, it is always disappointing to have a bad bottle.
