  May 20, 2013 - This bottle reminds me of why I stopped this wine club a couple of years ago. 10 dollar penfolds is made better than this. Never understood how Bella could do less with more. Too bad I have another bottle to kill. Seriously. Bottles like this make me wonder what happened.

  5/21/13, 7:13 AM - Couldn't agree more. Have experienced this trend myself with Bella's wines and have stopped buying/left the club also a few years ago. I've started using their zins in a lamb stew with great results....

  5/21/13, 9:06 AM - Thanks for the comment. Yeah. It's a shame with the beautiful cave and property and an excellent but hard to get Lily Hill Zin, it broke my heart to lose the access. But I finally figured out that I was better off pricewise to just eliminate the club and wait until passport weekend to buy Lily Hill at the discount for that weekend. Overall a better value. In fairness to them I also like their late harvest zin, but again the other wine just doesn't justify the cost. Que lastima.
