May 27, 2013 - This could be a 90, but there is not much of a finish. Nicely integrated dried cherry, menthol, mint, light oak. Just a nice smooth taste with nothing jarring nor truly exciting. It does not really soar to any heights. This wine is sort of like a second cousin at a wedding whom you speak to for 20 minutes and find that, eh, he's a nice guy and you might be friends with him, but he lives in Chicago and you're in New England. You don't hold anything against him and you probably wouldn't mind seeing him more often for a round of golf, a nice dinner out or to go fishing, but in reality, you'll probably only see him at weddings and funerals, and when you do, you'll talk to him and catch up and that will be enough after all. It's that kind of wine.
