6/4/13, 11:39 AM - Oh my. This is the second time today I've read a note not very complimentary of the 2010 KB's. That makes me nervous as I've got a few from that vintage. I haven't tried any younger than 08 so will sit on the 2010's for a few years, maybe they will come around. Could be just a poor year? Certainly 86 is not up to what KB usually ranks but I don't doubt your score. Thanks for your TN.

6/4/13, 11:44 AM - Barry, thanks for the comment. Funny things happen when you taste blind. For what it's worth, we recorked the leftover 1/4 of a bottle and tried it again the next night with similar reaction to the wine. It had gotten a little more tart (the air wasn't good to it) but overall the same reaction as the blind tasting the night before.

6/4/13, 2:14 PM - I am big fan of KB in general. Blind tastings are great as you grade not on name but taste. Most of time, KB their wines are excellent. In fact, an 05 (think it was Koplan) was one of the biggest and best Pinot's I've ever drank. However, I've also had a couple of bottles that were so-so best and quite underwhelming. Goes to show, you never know until you pop the cork. Keep your glass full. Barry
