May 18, 2002 - Mature, bright red, with a positive orange/brown meniscus; classic nose, cedar, spices and blackcurrants, warm and with good depth; on the palate drying and tannic, not so much dried out but austere rather than charming, with rusty, gravelly flavours and some dried cherries. Needs food.
