  August 29, 2013 - Perfumed nose, deep purple colour. A lot more tannic than the 2005 which I had recently, but perhaps more complex also. Paired this with a rack of lamb and ratatouille and the tannins worked well with the richness of the meat. However, tannins a bit less rounded and smooth than I would have liked. Wood was more present compared to the 2005, slightly spicy finish also. Will try other bottle in a few years or perhaps with another serving of rich meat.
