Community Tasting Note

  • cweiss Does not like this wine:

September 29, 2013 - Sadly, nose sherried. Still tannic and tough, not surprisingly for the vintage but palate old. I gave it a full 24 hours hoping it would rise like a Phoenix, but alas no.

    1/6/14, 8:04 PM - not sure why you wouldn't call this flawed/oxidised.

1/7/14, 6:54 PM - Fair question Chuck. I guess I wasn't sure it was a bottle flaw issue. My last bottle had been 6 years earlier, I would have thought it would have held up better but still it was a 17 year old wine.

1/10/14, 1:13 PM - FYI, I opened a 1996 Parusso Vigna Rocche last Tuesday, it was fine. i have a Vigna Mugnie as well, still waiting on it. I think many 1996's have many years to go.
