Tim Heaton Does not like this wine:
September 28, 2013 - Opened on Friday, re-corked, served blind on Saturday. Dark ruby, nearly brooding. Confection, Swisher Sweets, overly ripe cherries, vanilla extract, pie crust. The palate is just a disaster and runs so, so counter to the graceful, fresh '01 that I'm at a loss for words. Full bodied, sweet-ish, with a spicy berry and cherry cola palate. Hot, disjointed, cherry phosphate and vanilla soda that had me looking for a soda jerk wearing a paper hat. No thank you. 14,5% abv

1/17/18, 1:02 PM - I hope you have another one of these that you can enjoy. I served this blind today amongst an ‘07 Ridge Geyserville and an ‘07 Cornerstone Napa Cab and this was the unanimous wine of the day. Supremely balanced and drinking wonderful.
