  November 19, 2013 - 1988 Red Bordeaux, with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Finally a 1988 to get excited about and by far the best of the line up along with the Pichon Lalande. Extremely dark colour.. is this a 2005? Spicy, light earthy (the first of the 88s to show an earthy side tonight). Young still but with good weight of fruit, vibrant and complex! Great balanced across good fruit on the mid palate, light leather tones. Tannin is there on the finish but in general this is a very good wine. Lots of life ahead and more ageing will only but help! 93-94+
