  December 2, 2013 - Deep garnet colour, lined with a bright red hue. Nose of plum, cassis and dark fruits, exhibiting an undertone of opulent spicy french oak and secondary notes of vanilla. Relatively light with a tinge of sweetness on the initial, quickly overshadowed with a warm spiciness. Medium body with medium to firm dusty tannin, tending towards a rather bitter vegetal palate. The wine however develops well in a mildly smooth, lightly spicy transition, full of cherry flavours and character. This culminates in a lengthy, mildly sweet and vegetal finish, with a slight spike in acidity towards the end. A pretty good wine, best paired with heavier red meats or pasta.
