Community Tasting Note

  • Stefanos T. Likes this wine: 92 points

December 19, 2013 - Very dark color, still purple.
Nose is very expressive, clean and sweet with concentrated red and black berry fruit and sweet oaky spice.
On the palate it has a creamy feel, high fruit concentration is very well balanced by acidity and ripe tannins.
Body is medium to full and alcohol is well integrated. At this stage new oak notes dominate but this is not
necessarily a bad thing, fruit although abundant is yet undefined and rather focused. But the wine is so well balanced,
fruit is so abundant, tannins unobtrusive and oak so creamy that it can be drank on it own.
I do not know how the wine will evolve but at the moment the wine lacks the complexity of Porte du Ciel to which my friend Yiannis compares it.
Great value at around 15 euros.
