  December 24, 2013 - Cocoa powder, bittersweet, plum skin, cigar, menthol, more non-fruit than fruit. Very earth-driven, some iodine/chemical scents, robust structure still. Noble and lovely but not maturing much.

  12/27/13, 9:53 AM - I am not surprised that this is drinking well based on my experience with the 2003 vintage. I may have to look for a bottle.

  1/3/14, 9:20 AM - I've had the '03 once and found it utterly closed down but have hope for the future. The '01 is wide open but not in the same vein as these other vintages - very forward, sweet, and polished.
