  June 11, 2007 - boy, first impressions can be deceiving. Opened and it smelled funky, poured a glass and poured it out because it was thin and tasted, well, clearly past its prime. We opened another bottle of wine (different wine) and at one point in the meal my wife poured more of the Heitz into my glass - and I enjoyed it. Well, tells you how important aeration/decanting can be! And if I didn't know better, I'd swear it was darker in my glass too.
