  January 9, 2014 - There is nothing quite like the wine from the World War II period. Blue glass, no sulfur or many winemaking elements available because of the depravations of war. Yet, so many brilliant wines! This was no exception. Its appearance is light in color – but that should not fool anyone because this had astounding intensity on the nose, earthy and the definition of class and grace. The bottle was in perfect condition, and the palate had sweetness and silkiness all over it. A wonderful experience.
