    February 5, 2014 - Beautifully made Pinot.

In the glass the wine is a murky ruby with a slightly purple-garnet tingle. The nose is expressive immediately. Very soft cherry notes followed by game and a compelling rose petal characteristic. Salty characteristic and hints of black tea - oceanic. Seems to have a slightly fatty quality to it.

The palate is rather full for pinot but not in an artificial sense. True purity of fruit on the palate and that same gamey quality. Resinous. Lots of white pepper and spice here. Tannins and acids are very well integrated and the finish is sustained and complex.

Incredible value. Will age nicely for another 5+ years.
