  February 6, 2014 - Decanted through an aerator 5 hours prior to consuming. This appears not to be my vintage nor my producer or both because I have not understood two syrahs and now a zinfandel. The wine began with some promise, nice red fruits and spice, but by mid-palate it was gone, completely, no flavors echoing across the palate, no finish, just a disappearing act. Not the type of magic I look for.

  2/6/14, 7:19 AM - Cellar time up to about 5 years from vintage on the Syrahs and at least a year or more from issue on Zins really helps these wines.

  2/6/14, 7:24 AM - Hopefully. It is confusing to read other reviewers whose present experience is so different from mine. I did expect the zins to be fairly approachable, but I will have to let them sit. Thanks.
