February 2, 2014 - APPEARANCE: clear; medium garnet, medium legs & tears
NOSE: clean; medium+ intensity; flavour characteristics: prune, plum, raisin, dorest floor, tobacco, farmyard, sweet spuces(vanilla), sweet notes; fully mature
PALATE: dry; high acidity; medium body; medium tannin (fine grained); medium alcohol; long finish; medium+ flavour intensity; flavour characteristics: as per nose: tobacco, forest floor, prune, plum, sweet spice (vanilla), white pepper
READINESS FOR DRINKING: drink now, but will keep 2-3 years
FURTHER REMARKS: excellent wine! Typical mature Syrah, brooding dark but sweet nose, impressively complex, structural components well balanced with alcohol and acidity. Lovely concentration. Typical of Northern Rhone. Unfortunately my last bottle...1 person found this helpful 2,980 views
