February 8, 2014 - APPEARANCE: clear; medium garnet, medium legs & tears
NOSE: clean; medium+ intensity; flavour characteristics: black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, red cherry, raspberry, forest floor, pencil shavings, subtle sweet spice(vanilla); fully mature
PALATE: dry; medium+ acidity; medium+ body; medium tannin (ripe, fine grained); medium alcohol; medium +finish; medium+ flavour intensity; flavour characteristics: as per nose: blackberry, black cherry, cranberry, forest floor, pencil shavings, liquorice, tobacco, subtle herbal touch
READINESS FOR DRINKING: can drink now, but has potential for 5+ year ageing
FURTHER REMARKS: great wine, beautiful colour, plenty of fruit on the nose and very elegant on the palate. Starting to show complexity, but will continue to improve, well balanced (well integrated oak and alcohol, balanced with the acidity). Lovely example of elegant mature Left Bank!3,772 views
