February 23, 2014 - The 2010 Mongeard-Mugneret Vosne-Romanée is medium ruby in colour with a very dense nose of deep dark red fruits (currants, cherries), slightly sweet rosewood, herbs, mushrooms and earth.
Very round entry on the palate with some serious weight and structure. Flavours of fleshy dark cherries before a mid-palate of earthiness and mushrooms contributing to some body weight in the wine with firm tannins. Heavy Pinot Noir indeed, very intense. A high quality Vosne Romanee Villages. Much life ahead. 90+2 people found this helpful 2,557 views
