    February 27, 2014 - Nice wine, interesting given its age. The wine needed time to open up, it seemed closed down and required air (1 hour) to allow the fruit come out. Because there was an intermingled flavor profile, I believe this wine was better years ago. Drink now.

    2/28/14, 8:55 AM - If the wine is closed down, why drink it now? This style of wine making produces wines that usually age very well. If you have more bottles, forget about them for five years and open one then. Bet you'll be surprised.

    Any rush with 2001 Ardanza.
    Btw 2005 is coming so if you prefer Rioja when is nothing more than a teen why not to try it now?

    8/1/16, 6:20 PM - I opened another bottle 2 years after this and you all are correct. This wine is getting better. Have another 7 and will hold. Thanks for the advice.
