June 10, 2014 - Lots of deposit. Decanted. 30 mins. Nose like Shiraz - blackberry, oak, plum. Bit of alcohol and sweet nose. On palate, good fruit and acidity. Not particularly complex. Bit of tannin. Not a great finish - bit thin. Better after 1.5 hours. Acidity reduces, but tannins increase. Nice dry palate, with dark red fruit up front. Would be good with duck, lamb or pigeon. 3hrs in decanter - just keeps getting better. More fruit, more mid-palate. Dry tannic finish now impressive. Few more years left in it.
