July 10, 2014 - Dark ruby turning crimson at the rim with reflective edges. The nose gives off aromas of cola, tobacco, and leather. The palate is bold, muscular, and very, very dry; heightened by bright acidity. Structured; densely concentrated with flavors of currant, black tea, cigar box, graphite, espresso and meat. This wine stays lifted all the way until the very long finish with hints of dried herbs. The structure is still very firm as of tasting, and the tannins haven't fully resolved. This will be better from 2015 or 2016 up to 2032. 94+
