Community Tasting Note

July 14, 2014 - Brilliant wine. Parker got this one right. Needed to breathe and hour or two. Just paired with kung pao chicken, great compliment. Deep herbal aromas on the bouquet. Cream de cassis, licorice, graphite, earthy with slight oak. Great length on the palate. Going to go back and buy as many bottles as I can get. Should go at least 15-20 years. Can't wait to try again in 4-5 years.

8/11/14, 9:25 AM - Very similar to my experience with this wine. You should move this comment to the "EE Cuvee" where all the other notes are.

12/17/16, 9:54 PM - I agree with you. Parker got this right. The low scores are from people who want a juice bomb (which Russell often delivers) but that wasn't what Mother Nature delivered in 2011. Tasters need to stop rating on the archetype of what they expect Bevan (or >$100 Napa cabs) to taste like (big extractions with oak) especially in years like '11
