August 4, 2014 - The Grange poured out almost purple with just a faint rim of bricking. It had some coconut and vanilla along with ripe blueberry fruit and some tar and leather. There’s also a crushed ant formic acid note you often get in Grange. It is a deliciously bright wine with a heart of blueberry confiture and all sorts of delicious savoury elements countering. It has power, poise and proportion and is dense but not heavy. It is a delicious drink now but I suspect sound bottles (like this one) are still a couple of decades away from their eventual apogee.
