  August 15, 2014 - I'm impressed with the way this wine pulls off a new world fruit-forwardness but retains its own likeable identity, especially given the price point. Very dark garnet. Blackcurrant syrup, oak, smoke, flowers on the nose. Gobs and gobs of blackcurrant and wild cherry candy with a touch of rosewater, cedar cigar box. The rise and fall of the fruit is very nice: powerful, but doesn't just smack you in the face and disappear-- swells up, sustains then exits slowly on the long finish. Seems at its peak. Really a 90+.
