  September 13, 2014 - More accessible and supple than the '03 vintage drunk on same occasion, yet still a fairly young wine. This year has a high alcohol level (14,5%) which makes the wine a bit too sharp in the mouth. Otherwise, it's beginning to show early signs of ripeness w nicely smoothed tannins, cassis, smokiness. Nice, but I would prefer this to be 12-13% alcohol for maximum enjoyment. Will likely improve further w storage.
