Community Tasting Note

October 5, 2014 - Odd, such high ratings for this wine and very few comments as to why?

Fantastic showing by Lilian. PnP in the glass and consumed over several hours. A lighter dark purple in the glass with a nose full of black fruits, tobacco and hints of pepper.

On the palate the wine is silky and very well integrated. The balance was very good and the dark fruits are present on the mid palate. I was pleased that the alcohol was not dominate which is why the balance was so good.

Decent finish with smokey wood and black pepper. This wine is drinking great now and should deliver the same delight if not greater delights for several more years.

10/8/14, 8:25 AM - I like a TN to go along with the score, but @ 93, they like it pretty well. Outlying scores, I ask why, post a note.

As to why post a note? Its optional of course... but if someone rates a wine very high one would think they have a reason as to why is garnered such a good rating and may want to share it. Even if its only a few words but that is just my opinion.
