October 16, 2014 - The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of raspberries, strawberries, red plums, liquorice, vanilla and chocolate. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a medium(+) alcohol. It has a medium(+) body and medium(+) intensity flavours of raspberries, strawberries, red plums, liquorice, vanilla and chocolate. The finish is medium(+).

It is a very good quality wine. It has a very nice fruit concentration and a quite decent finish. It shows a very nice overall balance between fruit concentration and alcohol, supported by tannins, and some degree of complexity provided by oak ageing. However it is not complex enough to be considered outstanding. The wine is too young, it needs 1-2 years more in the bottle to integrate better the fruity and oaky aromas, and it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop a bit more of complexity in the next 3-5 years.
