Although some fruit remains, it's mostly dropped out; the palate is dominated by subtle vanilla and oak flavors, and by a bitter chocolate note. Thin on the middle palate and short on the finish. Stylistically this is 100% La Torre Brunello, but it doesn't measure up to the 1995 or the 1990. Drink now. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.
