November 9, 2014 - This wine is inky in the glass with a bouquet of sour cherry and muted vanilla. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied with the same sour cherry and muted vanilla, as well as blackberry, blueberry, and licorice. It has a lengthy, oak-infused finish. Yet another example of just how subjective wine tasting can be. One critic, for example, referred to the wine's Pinot-like qualities. There's nothing even vaguely resembling the flavor profile of that varietal in this wine. While another critic commented on the wine's "seamless" qualities. In my estimation, it will take at least 5 years in the cellar before this hot and tannic wine even approaches seamless, which I assume is a synonym for integrated.
