  September 10, 2007 - Purple, reddish color. On the nose, pure red fruits, with a slight earthy note. Very similar on the palate - ripe, clean, powerful red fruit, with a gritty, leathery edge and a little of the earthiness, which all combines into a beautiful mixture. Great concentration and balance, with a powerful finish. This needed about an hour to open up, then stayed at a high level for 24 hours, when the bottle finally met its demise.
