Community Tasting Note

December 26, 2014 - Served blind. Inky dark purple in the glass, no bricking. On the nose, copious amounts of blueberry, powdered sugar, pen ink, florals, spice, overt alcohol, and a heavy overlay of oak, with notes of wood, coconut and vanilla. On the palate, quite structured; medium tannin, medium plus tannin; reasonably well balanced. Finishes moderate with the tastes of blueberry, oak, vanilla, spice and dried flowers. Quite rambunctious today, but may settle down with time. I would not be interested in aging this on my dime, however.
