  September 29, 2007 - Nose of cherry and dark fruit compote in a bowl of wet leaves. Taste was classic with cherries and tobacco with pencil lead. There was still a very nice acidic backbone with satisfying tannins. The cork was almost completely saturated, so even though this wine still has the structure to continue to develop, I wouldn't allow it to do that unless the bottle were re-corked. Drinking very nicely now.
