  February 21, 2015 - If I recollect correctly, and drinking can sometimes compromise this, the Rocks was one of our first Wine Access purchases. This third bottle, now some five years on, confirms that it was a wise decision. Intensely extracted, dense inky purplish red, fragrant if not overpowering aroma, the wine seems quite mature but yet with years of life ahead. Of course lots of ripe berry fruit, medium acidity, menthol, eucalyptus, even a hint of caramel on the finish, notable sweetness. The one irritation was the cork that seemed welded to the neck of the bottle, requiring some emergency surgery to remove. Never experienced that before.

  2/22/15, 11:41 AM - Glad to hear there is a fellow traveler. I am inclined to second guessing and tend to wonder if Wine Access purchases are wise. While the promotion of each offer can be somewhat OTT, I have been content overall. Often wonder what others think.

  2/22/15, 3:02 PM - I have ordered from them just 2-3 times over the years. I have not had any complaints. There are so many other places to order that I probably just became saturated. Their near daily offers are too much.

  7/2/15, 7:41 AM - WineAccess definitely lays it on a bit thick. Once a month or so they will actually have a good wine below other retail prices, especially with free shipping and tax free. You just have to do your homework. 2010 and 08 Winter Cabernet was by far a steal from them!
