Community Tasting Note

March 4, 2015 - Entering secondary phase but still with a long way to go. After an hours air in glass, strong vanilla and hint of tobacco on the nose; some sweet red fruit - v different from dark fruit of earlier bottles. More traditional. Less modern. Silky and smooth in the mouth. Some slight bitterness - no rush. Caramel. Spicy. But a sweet oak and strawberry / raspberry touch too. Finishes long. Good concentration. Lovely complexity if not quite yet integrated. V good.

3/4/15, 1:02 PM - Thanks Alion, your note is greatly appreciated. I tucked into a few of my bottles quite early and am now sitting on the rest. Just a quick question, did you decant or just pop and pour and, if the former, how long for? thanks, chatters

3/4/15, 1:12 PM - Popped and poured but left for an hour in glass before tasting. Lots of caramel on the finish but has become more Bordeaux-like over the evening. Slightly more of an vegetal element too. Lots of complex parts so worth a pop but I suspect will integrate more in a few more years. Was unfortunately my last bottle!
