April 5, 2015 - Gave this about 2 hrs in a wide bottom decanter. This was a great wine, and I'm going to nitpick it. Absolutely fantastic nose with pure raspberry, incense, crushed rocks, cherry liqueur. Almost a purer and less flamboyant version of the des Tours Vacqueyras. Imo, the nose was better than the GOK Grenache from the same year that we tried recently. On the palate, the story is a bit different. The acidity is perceptibly low, and the wine leans medium- bodied. More very pure red raspberry and some slight crushed rock minerality, but there is something missing: the palate is a little bit thin. Just the very slightest hint of structure on the finish, which is shorter than I would like. Because the acid is low and there is little perceptible tannin, this seems like it might be an earlier drinker than, e.g., the 2010 version of this wine, but I would love to hear other opinions...
