Sounds ridiculous, but that's the impression it made on me. The finish is nutty and saline, just slightly bitter in a pleasant way, and long. It's not a broad wine but a very deep one, if that makes sense. It has resonance. In any case, I loved it. Give it time and attention because it doesn't shout at you, and don't serve it very cold, just at or slightly cooler than cellar temp. Wonderful with food (I had it with chicken florentine and pasta, and the match was perfect).

  4/1/16, 9:51 AM - Enjoyed the detail and emotive impressions you crafted. Sometimes this just happens with wine. I am a fan of the Fiore, having first tried the 2010--and just purchased the 2012. Have you tried the Carato? I enjoyed the 2008 a lot (only vintage I have seen).
