  April 28, 2015 - Popped and poured, but the alcoholic heat was brutal and the flavors disjointed. Drank a glass, corked the bottle and drank the next day (notes are based on day 2 tasting).
  
  With all that air the wine settled down very nicely. Dark ruby color. Quite light-bodied. Cherry candy, barnyard funk, cloves and a bit of VA on the nose. Nice sour black cherry, a hint of tobacco, a touch of bright, almost apple-like acidity, nice tannic grip with no bitterness. The finish is quite long. Super QPR for this varietal.
