  May 7, 2015 - Book Club (Maro Grill, Laguna Beach): Blind - guessed Syrah and California, and felt good about it. Not. This likes like a big syrah in the glass. There's some heat and the legs are streaming down the glass but it's only 14+% ABV. Nose is blood, iron, stone, and dark fruit. Palate is prickly tannins and tart blackberry, ripe raspberry, and brush. Cool wine.
