October 22, 2007 - I should have known better. I was talked into this bottle at a new wine shop in town - the owner claiming to have some of the best Aussie wine around (while I know of many other better resources). Penfolds has always been an over-rated, over-priced label to me. This was drunk over two days, head to head, against Anomaly. They opened up close but grew further apart. This had too much alcoholic sting to start and then turned into sweet syrupy port by day two. We'll see if the shiraz he sold me is any better.
