May 11, 2015 - Decanted for three hours. Of the Lynch Bages pantheon, this is the most backward left-bank chateau from the legendary vintage, and ultimately compelling. Slowly revealing pencil lead, blackberry, raw steak, rose petal and cigar box. The finish sails into any stunning sunset. Fine grained tannins in copious proportions, with a silky edge. So much aristocracy and ageless. Ending with spearmint. Decant or wait a few more years. Drink 2020 -.

5/12/15, 9:31 AM - The '03, '05 and in some ways the '09 are more approachable. The '00 reminds me of the '82 Las Cases in that it will be backwards for awhile.
