  May 16, 2015 - Dinner with Monthly Group at Wild Rocket (Wild Rocket, Singapore): A neat little Muscadet – this was just about the perfect white wine to pair with a seafood dish (in this case a salmon and squid donburi), particularly so on a warm and balmy Singapore evening. The nose showed pleasant notes of sweet apples, lime zest and a nice rocky minerality along with a little grassy, minty hint. Like the nose, the palate had simple but pleasant flavours, with apples and citrus fruits infused with a really nice minerality and a touch of spice as it glided into a long finish. Fresh and lively, yet not with an in your face zippiness that some Muscadets have, this was beautifully poised and balanced and really enjoyable to drink. A nice wine, drinking enjoyably well now, but with the balance to go on for some time yet.
