    May 21, 2015 - I agree completely with JonnyG's note. This has some very nice things going for it: minerality, acidity, and tart austerity. This does lack some complexity and lushness/viscosity, which would have added a lot to this wine. I know what Stolpman is reaching for, but I'm not sure that Viognier from the Central Coast can attain the complexity found in the Rhone. This by no means is a poor wine. It's actually quite acceptable, particularly for the price (at least, what I paid for it).

    6/7/15, 9:48 PM - I agree about the lack of density. Viognier is not a Loire varietal--Northern Rhone typically. Sorry to be pedantic. Like you I was hoping for something more.
