June 30, 2015 - Appearance: Bright and clear, it has medium ruby color, with garnet rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of sour cherries and raspberry, black fruit of bilberry and plum, floral notes of violet, animal notes of game, mineral notes of tar, sweet spice of cloves, maturity notes of savory. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (-) acidity, the wine has medium (-) tannin of ripe and silky texture, showing high alcohol and full body, with medium intensity flavors of red fruit of raspberry and cherries, black fruit of plum, sweet spice of cloves, kernel notes of roasted hazelnuts. The wine has a medium (-) finish.
Conclusion: Good quality Rioja Grenache blend showing reasonable intensity but good complexity, the wine has a strong Grenache characters, in good balance and having structure and harmony. The palate has fair concentration and similar characters as the nose, however only having a fairly short finish. It is ready to drink now and not intend for further ageing.3,350 views
