July 1, 2015 - Thick, unctuous, a bit on the sweet nectary-side. Unusual taste of super-ripe instances of the common Sauternes flavors -- intense, jammy ripe pineapple, concentrated ripe apricot, etc. A rare hint of graham-cracker note adds to the interesting complex of flavors. Still lively and fresh, has many years to go. No hint of the signs of oxidation and age that can take their toll on fruity freshness. The creme brulée, honey and molasses stage is a long way off. Not even close to the magnificent 2001 or 2009 Suduirauts, is nonetheless one of the better offerings from this chateau in recent years.
