August 8, 2015 - 2008 Penner ash Shea vineyard. Light-medium ruby. Nose of tart cherries, ash, cinnamon and a hint of smoke. Tannins and acidity are nicely integrated. Cherries and pomegranate are the fruit flavored I get. The finish lingers in a grippy way, with hints of bitter baking chocolate. Refined and understated; definitely NOT big and showy. 91.
