Community Tasting Note

September 1, 2015 - not sure if my bottle was flawed or if this is supposed to taste like this. In my wife's words it tasted like "cheap calvados". if bottle was not flawed, this definitely is not my cup of tea. maybe someone can comment before I try another bottle.

9/1/15, 1:39 PM - Thanks for the hint. I was reading notes on 2005, but hadn't looked earlier vintages. Guess I will let it be open for few more days to see how it evolves. However, words like crowdpleaser didn't really describe this wine nicely. Guess I will let my other bottle settle some dust for 3-4 years and open it then to see what it's like. I haven't actually tried 10-year old white in the past, so figuring out if this is what it should be is tough. :-)

I agree though, unless you have a very unique crowd, these style of wines are kind of anti-crowd pleasers. I've seen success with people being advised to 'think red' rather than white when having them. Best of luck!
