The wine is very elegant on the nose, with lots of red berry fruit character and floral notes like violet. On the palate, the wine expresses its youth with silky but firm tannins. There is great precision in this vintage, which should nevertheless be kept in the cellar for at least 2 to 3 years, by which time it will start displaying its full aromatic expression. For those who can’t wait that long, a bottle can be enjoyed now as long as the wine is decanted many hours beforehand in a flat-bottomed decanter in an odourless room at wine serving temperature (around 18°C). Five hours is the ideal decanting time. To be enjoyed over the next 20 years.
Our personal opinion: be patient and wait.
