October 16, 2015 - Color wise, has a slight brownish look in comparison to the 2002 Latour next to it. On the nose, more forward, gentler, with red friuts, anise, minerality, peppery spice and mushroom notes. Soft, structured texture with fascinating concentration coasting the palate. Round edges compliements the delicious plum and earth tone, and the finish is elegant, with cassis, tobacco and orange peel lingers long and clear. Great wine and an absolute treat, but the 2002 Latour flew above it on this occassion.
